In the folded clay of the badlands, small stones collect along the ridges and channels carved by erosion.

From above they appear like scattered fragments, tiny nuggets resting quietly in the creases of the earth.

These aerial photographs were made in the badlands of southern Utah using a drone. From the ground the landscape feels vast and empty, but from above the terrain reveals intricate patterns carved by wind and water over centuries.

Small stones gather along the ridges and erosion lines, forming quiet constellations across the clay surface. Seen from the air they take on a different presence, appearing like fragments scattered across a crumpled landscape.
